Yes, because those rats could be killed, either from your heroes or from Brodie, and because of this, they have to defend themselves. So any cheese rolled during their defense, no matter who is attacking them, is added to the minion cheese wheel. It's kinda logic, in my opinion.↧

You roll for each rat, always.

Thank you. That does make the most sense.

It would be a shame if they've stopped. It made me less apprehensive to start painting my minis (my first ever) knowing I could replace them if I messed up.
Don't let replacement availability stand in your way. Just go for it.
I had never painted minis either. M&M was my first. I did a lot of research, watched a lot of YouTube and ultimately did things my own way. I'm very happy with the results.
I didn't get a chance to do any painting last winter but I'm hoping to start in on my Descent set (and make some progress on Memoir '44) this winter. It's a lot of fun and very relaxing.

Any reason why the cheese on the dice are red, but in the rulebook yellow? Just bought the game and they're red. Curious more than anything.↧

Well the cheese on my dice are orange-ish if anything. But the dice in the book look yellow, though the red for the sword symbols look more faded in the book to me than on the actual dice.Maybe it's computer graphics vs. real dice. Or picture of original concept dice that got made darker for the final versions to see them better.
Not sure.

That sounds like an anomaly. The cheese on the dice is definitely an orange-yellow colour on most sets.↧

The rim on some cheeses is red.
A darker colour is easier to discern.
My dice are a slightly darker yellow colour. Leaning to a yellow-orange.
Could be that the dice have gone through some iterations.
Wasnt there a post somewhere by PHG about changing the dice hues?
A quick check and my Downwood die are dark orange. Allmost an orange-red.

Coming in late here, but regular wounds and poison wounds are all wounds, aren't they? They all bring the mouse bearing them closer to be captured. The distinction is that poison wounds aren't able to be healed by standard means.2c *clink*

Indeed. I have both the base set and Downwood Tales, and the two sets of dice are clearly a different colour.
(Doesn't bother me, though the more bright-yellow ones seem a bit more like cheese blocks to me.)

Went to their site and could only find a contact for gentleman named Brian. Is there a standard PHG customer support email?↧

The better to see... that the minion defense roll was all cheese, causing a surge that caused the hourglass marker to move ending you're game on the last tile against the last boss... with my dear.↧
