Between Portuguese and Brazilian Portuguese there where some diferences in grammar but those were before an orthographic acord that went down between all portuguese talking countries some years ago.Nowdays all countries are trying to converge to a normalized portuguese.
What happens with Mice and Mystics is that in Brazil it was publish in Portuguese (I think by Galapos Games / Correct me if I'm wrong).
In Portugal we only have access to the original english version.

Thread: Mice and Mystics:: Rules:: Point to rolling for movement if I or enemy isn't going to move?

I see the rule says "must" roll for movement, but why if the result is 100% certain to be no movement?↧

In the last tile of the first quest, if you roll a 1 on the movement roll, the crow does damage to you. For effects like that, it makes sense to roll every time so you get in the habit. I'm sure there will be effects later on in the quest book that are influenced by a movement roll. Now, I haven't read the whole quest book, that's just an assumption.↧

If the enemy dies you might want to move. Or there might be a hazard that hits you if you roll a one.

Yeah, the rules say this, but you can ignore it in most cases, except in a part of a chapter where rolling a specific number when moving would have an effect.
If a minion is in the same space as a mouse, they aren't going to move, so no need to roll for that minion's movement, unless there is a specific effect that can be triggered by a number rolled for movement.
If your mouse does not want to move at all, or only wants to move the base movement allowance on their character card, then you don't have to roll for them, unless there is a specific effect that can be triggered by a number rolled for movement.
The rule is in there for situations where there can be an effect based on the number rolled for movement. Because in those situations, players can't try to game the game by saying that they aren't going to move at all, or only move their base movement allowance on their character card. In these situations, even if you aren't going to move, you must still roll the movement die to see if an effect was triggred.

In Brazil it was published by Galapagos Jogos (Galapagos Games). My father in law has recently gone to Portugal and he said that, despite the accent, it was almost the same thing. Some words are different, mainly objects. Don't know about grammar though.

Thread: Mice and Mystics:: General:: Chapter 1 Sewers - Am I Missing Something?
by skyzero
Ok, so you drop into the sewers and land right on a fish hook and thread. I search, get the thread and move all mice out of the water safely on turn 1. Is it that easy? Seems too obvious like it should be more difficult to get out of the water current. Am I missing anything?↧

That works. Good luck with that first search. =) Also, make sure you are ahead of minion attacks, etc..↧

That's why it's so easy. I thought special searches were automatic. Doh! Problem solved!

Also, when you jump into the water you must end your movement immediately. :)So if A move/jump in water and search, he can't move again out of water even with hook.
But after that if B move/jump in water on the same spot as A and scurry to move again on the hook that A placed, it's possible.

Also recall that this is the first mission, so it should be kind of easy, and show off what the game can do.

Actually, quite a few folks have had trouble with chapter one. There's been a thread on that recently.
With a little bad luck on the dice, an inexperienced player can get into some serious trouble (especially if you decide to do the sidequest too).
