I am an "editor" for Rodney, and I know when there was a disagreement about something, he went to Jerry to check.

Definitely check out the podcast it is interesting.

Note: an "editor" of WIP is someone that contributes at a certain level to his fund raisers. We get to see the videos before they are released and check for errors. There are many editors. While Jerry didn't check every detail of the videos, he was available to answer Rodney's questions.

When the cave centipede attacks does a mouse get a wound and stunned marker for each hit rolled by the centipede?

O.k. guys here is a Question for ya that kinda of goes with the post about the Kitchen tile flipping a few posts ago.

1. So we go into the kitchen from the tunnels after clearing the minions; the kitchen minions spawn and we kill them and get miz maggie's attention;

we now go back into the tunnels below. Do new minions spawn with a new encounter card or is this tile considered clear?

In short is it anytime you revisit a tile you've already cleared do new minions spawn? I have been playing it as yes they do to ramp up the difficulty but I would like to know what everybody else thinks on this. Thanx an advance.

The rules for encounters say

Each time a mouse explores an area that has not already been explored during that chapter, the mice will have an encounter.

(My emphasis).

So, no new minions when backtracking.

Do other creatures block the line of sight, say a cave centipede shooting over/thru a space with a rat warrior in it? Does the rat warrior block the line of sight to a mouse that is beyond them but in line with a cave centipede that is behind the rat warrior?

Page 11 under Seeing the Target:

To determine if a mouse can see a target for the purpose of a ranged attack, draw an imaginary line from the center of the space the attcking figure is on to the center of the space the targeted figure is on. Use the edge of a card or this rulebook if necessary. If the imaginary line passes through any black areas or walls, then the attack or spell cannot be used. Additionally, there are some board features that may give the impression that they would block line of sight. Players can determine among themselves which of these features should block a mouse's line of sight.

What, so you can be "double-stunned"? I haven't read it that way. Either you're stunned, or you're not. So I'd only place one marker regardless of the number of hits.

1 more hit then shield = 1 wound + 1 stun
2 more hits then shields = 2 wound + 1 stun
3 more hits then shields = 3 wound + 1 stun

You always get a stun if you take at least one wound. It is not a wound OR stun. It is wound and Stun.

You can only be stuned once.

Yes, if you buy the expansion through PH's website. Alternatively, you can get both promo cards for only $5 from the BGG store.

Part of the reason for the seemingly-redundant wording may be the fact that 'Explore' is the name of the action you take to move from one tile to another (whether or not you've been to that tile before). So if they used the bare word 'Explore' in the text it might have been confusing.

This is the right answer.

The dangerous addiction of minis games.

I got the Kantu guards painted.

They ended up being quite a bit of work to paint with lots of little details. The way the flesh is broke up in to little areas too made for a bit more work.

2 more Lilly's are ready for the current sets I am painting.

I also started priming a Battlestar Galactica set as well this weekend and will start painting it soon.

Got three more of my own minis painted this week as well so 3 more Halberdiers will be joining the ranks of my Empire army now.

Played my first game of Dust Warfare today, so may end up purchasing a small force for that eventually. I think I need to get another game or two in to make sure the game is good as I think the factions out of the revised core set for Tactics aren't really meant to be played against each other in Warfare.

Also played a game of Dark Age today and I am really liking that game quite a bit and really want to get some more of them painted up.

This past week I also backed a new minis game on Kickstarter. Wild West Exodus. The minis look super cool, so I couldn't resist. I can't wait to get these guys and start painting them.

One big one we didn't notice till about four or five chapters in was the limitation on mice during the targeting of ranged attacks...

If we had a group of mice under attack by adjacent melee units and some ranged units pelting us from afar, we always used our ranged attacks to clear out the far away minions, since the others in our party could attack the one's close up later on.

This is not how the rules are written - actually, if there is a minion in the same space or adjacent to a ranged attacking mouse, that ranged attack MUST target one of the closer enemies - not something far away...

This makes combat a bit more challenging as something like Elite Rats will last a bit longer on the board unless you are careful about movement - which isolates those lower health/AC mice to unprotected attacks...

Simply - but oh, so elegant (nice job Jerry!)

I missed this one, too! When I read your post, I went back and checked and found that youw ere 100% right. Once I read it, I remembered reading it before, but it had dropped out of my mind. For the record, here is the rule:

Rule book, page 11 wrote:

Ranged attack
If a mouse is armed with a ranged weapon or
spell, it can perform a ranged attack. Ranged
attacks are performed in the same way as
melee attacks, except each bow symbol
counts as a hit instead of the sword or sword/
shield symbol. Also, when selecting a target
for the attack, a player can select any minion
on the same room tile as the attacking mouse
as long as that mouse can ‘see’ the target. However,
if there are minions in the same or adjacent space as the
mouse, one of those nearby minions must be selected as
the target of the attack.

(Emphasis mine.)
