Then we pulled an early Encounter Card that turned those Roaches Greedy. So when she did suffer a wound, they were taking cheese instead.

The 1 roach kill came at the end of the game once she had joined the party. We did not let Lilly attack at all until the other mice had reached her as we felt she wouldn't be able to because she isn't part of the party yet.

Did we play that wrong?

For the first part - All roaches take cheese instead of inflict wounds. If a mice is out of cheese, then they take wounds. Greedy roaches take the cheese and add it to the surge wheel.

From what I know of this chapter, Lily's initiative card is always in play during all the encounters, so she takes a turn as normal even when she is separated.

Thanks for the correction on roaches as I hadn't picked that up.

Looks like we made it harder for ourselves than we had to. Definitely resulted in us not searching as often. But all good going forward - thanks.

Yeah, no worries. I had roaches inflict wounds for awhile before I figured out that correction. Definitely makes 6-8 roaches more difficult XD

That is odd. Now the same page reads "The PlaidHatGames.com store is temporarily offline."

At the very least could record the missing story moment from the audio pack.

For a game that seems relatively simple, it's tripped me up a few times :P

I was confused by this ability because I thought I was to do initiative after each round. This thread made me realise my mistake. Thanks.

Of course, you can give versatility to the rat warriors by having them during some encounters possess the aggressive ability, while in other encounters they would just be normal (like you played before) :p

I'm not sure this situation exists, but does this mean that if there's a special setup and no special surge rule on the first tile, no surge would occur (as there is no encounter card face up)?

Yes.
Although remember that the hourglass would still move up one chapter, Surge or not.

So I have a few questions about the above image. Tilda (top left mouse) moved one space forward, searched successfully for the hook, then was pushed downstream 1 space.

Collin is next. He starts his turn by placing the fish hook.

1) Is the placement of the fish hook correct? Going from the space the mice are in all the way to the bank.

The rulebook says a mouse can move between the spaces on either end of the hook "as if they were normal adjacent spaces".

2a) I assume this means none of the water penalities apply? Or is it still technically moving out of water?

2b) The move from that water space to the bank is 1 movement point, despite bridging over another water space?

Yes, it's correct. He can only place it starting on his own space.
In this exact situation, I'd even recommend placing the fishook so that it ends on the solid space adjacent to Tilda. This way, all other mice can move there and, in the next turn, Tilda will roll 4 dice to get out of the water. Remember that the fishook can be place anywhere on your tile, not only next to your figure (that also could be place anywhere inside the tile.

No penalty applies, and he doesn't have to roll to get out of the water. I know some people think otherwise, but that's my read on the subject, and the reason the fishook can always be found in water spaces.

2b) The move from that water space to the bank is 1 movement point, despite bridging over another water space?

Yes, only 1 movement space, as if moving to an adjacent space.

Also, I'm sure Tilda could have placed the hook after searching right? This is because placing does not take an action.

Yes, she could.
But as she had already moved, she couldn't have walked out of the water.

Probably the best strategy would have been to Search with her first.
If succesful, she could have placed the hook and then moved out of the water.
If unsuccesful, she would have to move one space in water and then be swepped by the current, to the same place she is now.

Trying to get unique figures for the missing characters. Any tips as to where to get a millipede larger than the one in the box?

I used the Reaper Bones Ankheg as Skorch from Glorm:

I used a Mage Knight Thorn Crawler for Skitter-Clack:

I've also seen folks use a Horrorclix Centipede:

Oh thanks! Couldn't find the Horrorclix centipede on ebay (or elsewhere...), and a few of those didn't turn up in my "giant centipede" searches.
