Indeed, I've heard a few people mentioning PHG's great after sales service.It great to have a company that really cares for it's customers!
I also had your issue of the tight plastic shrink-wrap crumbling the edge back on one of my Encounter cards ... but luckily a few strokes of a dark pen concealed the damage.
Glad to know though I could have got a replacement!
Maybe the shrink-wrapping method needs a bit of a look into ;)
