I believe, for this game more than most, the circumstances in which this game is played is crucial to the enjoyment of the game. You need a good reader. You need to someone who knows the rules and the chapter well enough to guide the game along smoothly. But when you have that, as we do - wow! What a game! Our kids (ages 4, 8, 12, and 14) are captivated. They play the mice, my wife holds the story book, does the reading, and takes care of all the chapter-specific rules, I hold the rulebook and serve as the game overseer, if you will. It might sound like a boring job, but I love being a part of this very interactive and special family story time.
