I have my copy of Mice and Mystics and have opened it and read the rules and gone through the cards and looked at the models and..and..oh, everything. Everything that is, except played it but I am waiting for my Wife to join me. Thus game looks wonderfully magical and as I am a lover of tales (tails?) the chance to immerse myself in one and be the hero is just what I want. I have two niggles:
We mention children a lot when referring to this game, which is great and it's always nice to see a childs face when they are enjoying themselves BUT...as I have said to numerous people at work; who decided what age you had to be when those wonderful things you loved as a child could no longer be embraced by you, that had to be hidden for fear of you being sneered at? I like fun, I like games. Not 'Bridge' and 'Canasta' and 'Chess' (nothing wrong with those) But wouldn't you rather be wandering around a castle as a mouse trying to get to a tree in the courtyard, wearing an acorn on your head? You bet!
This game looks so enjoyable to play I cannot wait but I have a second niggle...shame the toothpick is a two handed item as I had visions of Prince Collin with his sword in one paw...well, you know what I mean.
WE ALL HAVE A CHILD-LIKE WONDER WITHIN, IT'S JUST THAT SOME PEOPLE CHOOSE TO SUPPRESS IT AND SO MISS OUT ON SEEING A MORE COLOURFUL PICTURE.
