My solution is mega simple.

1) Order some take out food from a place that delivers in undivided, covered plastic containers. I have a pile of these from "Dragon King" around the corner.

A tight lid is best.

2) From the kitchen, scrounge a small piece of parchment paper along with some paper towels. Fold the paper towels so that 2-3 thicknesses fill the bottom of the container. Soak the paper towel and set it in the bottom of the container.

3) Trim the parchment so that is sits _on_ the wet paper towels in the container.

4) Pour, mix and thin your paints on the parchment. The water underneath will be drawn up through the towels and keep your paint wet while your work.

5) Put the lid on to hold the paints over for a bit. Mine have lasted through the night w/o drying.

When you are finished, throw the towels & parchment away and get a new piece. If the towels dry, pour in a tbsp on water.

Cheap, easy, and I find that it just makes painting easier; I don't have to clean and setup nearly as much.

I'll add a few pics if you want when I get home. - e
